22nd Chapter Conflict of Feelings

Tokiya was just so tired from the concert. When she came home, everything was just in its place. She praised Aki for that.

“So how are Chun moments? Hehehe.”
“Nothing! He was just so worried when he found out that I met a little accident.”
“I envy you!!! Does this mean---“
“Hey! How could he when in fact, he doesn’t know that I’m a girl.”
“So you had better tell him now before he curses you if he finds it out by himself.”
“Rude! I wanted to but can’t. Wahhhh!!!! This is mind-boggling.”
“Before you lounge let’s eat first.”
“I’m finished. You eat by yourself.”
The doorbell rang and Tokiya ran to see. She received a gift. She was wondering what was inside. Surely, the gift was for Aki after she read the note.
“ This is for Aki. Hope you like this. Can I ask you out tomorrow?” Tokiya smiled as she read the note. Aki read it again and felt so surprised by her so-called friend. “Calvin, are you serious? Wahhh!! Tokiya, Calvin has just asked me out. Isn’t this a dream come true for me?”
“Congratulations then! So what’s inside?”
“Oh my……oh my….oh my…..Sis!!! Is he asking for my hand?”
“Ring?”
“Yeah!!!! Yahooo!!!!!! This is really HOT!!!! Mwahhh, Calvin. So so sweet.”
“You better take care of my Calvin, okay? You know what? He is a caring man. He cares about his loved ones. Don’t hurt him, okay?”
“Hey, we’re not yet engaged! We are friends yet. But I do care for him. Xie xie Tokiya, my bestfriend.”
“What have I done, anyway?”
“For the support and for always being there for me.”
“No problem. Hahaha.” And both laughed at the top of their lungs.

Chun was awoken by the open window. He just went outside. It was already midnight and the air was nice to feel. Yukaku appeared in front of him. Chun was surprised to have seen her again.

“Remember the first time we met?”
“I remember it. H-how could you sacrifice your life just for me?”
“Prince Goh Kiat Chun, I did that because I want to protect you.”
“But…..but…”
“In no time, Yumi will appear again. I have to finish this as soon as possible. Yumi is not truly wicked. She has this unrequited love for you. She became like that also because of her love for you, Chun. But what she showed is not love. It’s anger, revenge, greed, and pride. I need to get her back from her wickedness.”
“Take care, Yukaku.”
“I always do for you. I don’t know what will be the outcome of this but if what happened before will happen again, don’t be sad, Chun. I am and will always be in my heart.”
“You’ll also be in my heart.”

Tears were there. Hurt was there. Chun couldn’t dare to let Yukaku go. He then remembered his old self……as Prince Goh Kiat Chun.

“By the way, thank you for the gift, Calvin. I appreciate it.”
“Ermm….Do you know what the ring is asking for?”
Aki was busily sniffing the flowers’ scent. He heard what Calvin has just said. The flowers fell into the ground.
“What did you say, Calvin?”
“I said can you be my girlfriend?”
“Again….” Aki said while her eyes were widened. She’s definitely petrified.
“Can you be my girlfriend?”
“Yes…..I can be your girlfriend, Calvin.” Aki said those in slow manner.
“Thank you. Thank you.”
“Wait! I know we have known each other for quite a long time but would you tell me what do you like in me?”
“I like the Aki I know ever since.”
“Hey!! We’re not in a soap. But still it’s acceptable. Hahaha.”

“Oh! You’re here now, Chun.”
“What are we to talk about, Aaron?” Chun asked quite seriously.
“I know you know.”
“What do you mean?”
“Hm…that Tokiya is certainly a girl. I know that from the start you would often treat him as a girl and would sometimes be obvious for me to see it. I don’t know about the others.”
“Ah Bu, c’mon. We’re not playing here.”
“You’re the one who’s playing, Chun. You could not tell your feelings to her, could you? Remember during our previous concert. You saw us and I did see the dagger looks you were showing. I saw how pissed off you are everytime you see me with Tokiya.”
“You know that Tokiya is a girl?”
“She pretends to be one because…….” Aaron paused.

There was a gap of silence. Aaron was certainly serious and so as with Chun. Aaron wanted to stop what he was saying. He would’ve not continued it but he remembered Tokiya who wanted the love of Chun.

Chun also remembered the things he and Tokiya had done before. He remembered the klutz Tokiya. He would remember how Tokiya slipped or fall something. He would remember the smiling and encouraging Tokiya. He would remember how Tokiya was whenever she’s in front of him.

“She pretends because all she cares is you!”
“W-what?”
“You better care for her. I want to comfort her but I couldn’t knowing that you can only do that to her. I don’t want to see the sad Tokiya anymore Chun if you don’t want to ruin our friendship.”

Aaron left. Chun was left behind. “I just don’t know what’s within me. I just don’t know. I just don’t know.”
Tokiya arrived. Chun composed hisself upon seeing the person he and Aaron were talking about.
“Don’t worry about this, Tokiya. So we go now.”
“Huh? W-where? I don’t remember anything like this, Chun. Hey!”

23rd Chapter Uneasy

Chun grabbed her arms and went out with her. They enjoyed the time they had. They went from places to places. They watched movie, went into a park, ate in a fast food and strolled everywhere their mind would bring them to.

Tokiya was standing waiting for Chun who was buying them ice cream. She was spaced out staring deeply at Chun. “Would I tell him now? I know that Yumi is coming anytime and these last days might be our last days. That’s why I’m spending every moment with Chun no matter what,” she said. Holding the ice cream, Chun came near towards her. As she was looking at him Chun turned into Prince Goh Kiat. Tokiya wanted to run and embrace him tightly but she couldn’t for this day might be her last day with Chun. She didn’t want to put Chun down. “Prince…..” she said as her tears started from her eyes. “I’m sorry….but I have to do this. I was reincarnated because I want to protect. I don’t want your life be put to waste. I want you to be happy,” she said in her mind. Someone enclosed her in his arms. Someone wanted to shed him in his warm arms. Someone wanted to let her face rest on his shoulder while crying. Tokiya continued to cry. She lifted her face and turned to this someone. He saw Chun right in front of her very own eyes. “If you want to cry, just cry it onto me. I’m ready Tokiya. You can always do it on me. Understand?” Chun whispered to her. Tokiya stared at him for a very long time as if Chun understood her of what she was going through. She turned to her thoughts. “I have to say it right now. I have to say it. I have to. If Chun rejects me then, I have to…..accept it,” she thought. “Chun…” she began saying it. Chun turned his eyes and his lips curved into smiles, he raised an eyebrow at her. “Hey! Why that face?” she asked after seeing that facial expression of his. “I wanna say this. I CARE FOR YOU, Tokiya. I always do,” Chun said. She wanted to cry out her tears again but she saw Chun smiling at him once more. “Th-thank you. I know you would.” She thought. “But Chun you have to listen to me,” she said. “Is she telling me her secret this time?” Chun thought and was worried. “I-I…..I-I lied to you, Chun. Sorry, sorry, sorry,” she apologized. But before she could continue Chun leaned over her and landed his lips on Tokiya’s lips. As her lips were on his lips, Tokiya’s eyes widened. “How could he? How could he?” she thought. The 2 were alone except for Aaron who was from a distance away from them. Aaron formed his lips into smiles and looked at them happily. “You’re only for each other. Love will always break whatever barrier is trying to get in your way. Your love for each other will always get you nearer and nearer,” Aaron thought. Chun cupped her chin and smiled again. “See..your eyes are becoming panda eyes,” he said. “But…but….”she stuttered. “They’re looking for us for sure. Come on,” Chun said. “Why did he kiss me? Why? If he kissed me then, he should have known that I’m a girl and acting like a boy didn’t work at all. Sigh!!!” she thought.

The day was warm. Tokiya had to do her best to spend her time to her beloved. While she was holding her things, she turned to Aki and waved goodbye at her. “Don’t come home late. Hey!” Aki shouted. Tokiya had just gone off. “Tokiya, good luck. It’ll just be right, Tokiya. Chun loves you.” Aki remembered the time she and Calvin talked.

Treating themselves with coffee Calvin leaned over her girlfriend. Aki blushed in turn. She formed her lips and closed her eyes. Calvin smiled. “Do you know that your bestfriend is so amazing?” he whispered. Aki opened her eyes and moaned. “Arghhh!!! Well, he just is. He is my bestfriend.”Aki said. “But there’s this weird thing goin on. I just don’t know if I’m the one who’s thinking wrongly but it’ll just come in my mind, boggling me.” Calvin said. “W-w-what do you mean?” Aki stuttered. Calvin looked at Aki. “Your bestfriend is somewhat in love with Chun….”before he could finish his sentence he noticed that Aki turned her face at the pane beside them and was looking outside. “Do you know what this glass represents?”she asked Calvin. Calvin shook his head. Aki faced Calvin. “This pane symbolizes a pure heart. A heart that’s in love. Like this pane, it’s a see-through. That’s how true love is. It’s a see through thing. One can see how deep a person’s love for that person…” Aki stirred her coffee and continued, “Sigh! I wish I would have that someday.” Staring at her, Calvin moved closely. But one just wanted to disturb the perfect moment of them two. Jiro approached them and called Calvin back.

“Good morning, guys! How’s going on? Is everyone here?” Tokiya greeted. She saw Chun. And Chun saw her too. Both felt inconvenient seeing each other. Their eyes would turn to somewhere. Jiro stood in front of them. “Well, we have to start the rehearsal. I miss my electric guitar,” Jiro spoke. Calvin looked at Jiro. “You’re holding it everyday, Jiro. What’s the reason? Okay!” Calvin blurted. “Nawww…..the last major event that I held this one is when we’re holding a concert in Malaysia. Mean of you Calvin,” Jiro snapped back. Tokiya turned her eyes to them and shouted. “Stop it. Okay? Go to your places. Now.” Everyone went to their respective places. Chun stood up as well.

In the place of darkness, coldness and solitude, Yumi stood up from her throne and closed her hand into a fist. She turned into an angry figure. An evil aura wrapped around her. Her eyes could no longer be seen. They were whole flashing white. She was aroused to anger. “Prince, I’ll get you. I’ll get you. And now I know who you are it’s for me to make my move.” She turned her face to Chun appearing in front of her. “Yukaku, you won’t get away with this. You had better step back for Chun and I are to be together again,” she whispered angrily. There was no one around her but the empty dimension where she was moving. A place where no heart burns for love. A place where no star could be born.

“Yes, my lady. I’m trying my best. Everything is working out. E-everything is according to our plan,” someone said. “In a short time Chun will all be mine,” Yumi said and laughed an evil laugh. “How about Yukaku’s identity? Any reports, Kira?” she asked. Kira lowered her head as if hiding something. She was worried. “Better not tell her now,” she thought. “Kira!” she heard Yumi call. “I’m afraid I can’t tell you now. B-but…..I’ll let you know immediately,” Kira explained. Yumi looked differently at her minion. Something was going on Yumi’s mind. “May I ask, Yumi? What if….what if….Chun is really not for you? I mean…..he loves someone else,” Kira said. Yumi looked back and wrinkled her eyebrows. “Goh Kiat Chun loves me even before. If only he saw me again, he’ll understand everything,” Yumi spoke. “Yukaku is the only one he loves. And…and….Chun will never love you. Come on, Yumi. How many times did your plan fail? And yet you’re not stopping it.” Yumi’s eyes were as sharp as those of an angry monster. “Are you giving your side to that stupid Yukaku? Let me remind you, Kira. You’re just a wink of my eye and you’ll vanish. Never ever dare to betray me. Everybody knows what will happen to him if he betrayed me.” Kira lowered her head. “Dui bu qi. Better get going. I’ll just let you know what I may discover,” Kira said softly.

24th Chapter A Façade

Chun was on his taiko drums. His performance in taiko drums will be part of the Shanghai concert. And to end their world tour concert, he exerted much effort to improve his skills on taiko drums even more. He held the two drumsticks and beat the drums strongly. He kept on practicing while buckets of sweats were all over his body. He wore clothes perfect in situation like this. He wore a bandana around his head. He kept on practicing alone. Tokiya was behind a door staring at him. Chun wasn’t alone at all. She was too happy to have seen Chun eager to make their last leg of concert be more than successful. She stared at him and remembered that she brought some drinks and towel for him. She would want to get inside but she was shy. Seeing Chun at that time reminded her of Prince Goh Kiat Chun. “I could still remember how the prince would look in sweats. He would pant and pant and would ask me some drinks. Chun’s eyes were as focused as that of the prince. His posture was as firm as prince’s,” she thought. “Chun…..Chun…Be happy,” she added. In a moment, Chun noticed her behind the door. “Tokiya…”she heard him called. “I just brought some drinks for you. For sure you want something to quench your thirst,” Tokiya answered while her eyes were not on Chun. They were looking around. Chun smiled and faced her again. “Is she still thinking about yesterday? I hope she won’t talk about it now,”he muttered. Tokiya was still feeling inconvenient. “Aren’t those for me?” Chun asked for the drinks and towel. Tokiya turned her eyes to Chun bit by bit and put down the drinks and the towel she brought. Chun drank from the bottle and then wiped his body with the towel. Tokiya was still unease. Chun tried to take off his shirt. “Wait! Ermmm….ermmm…..I’ll turn my back,” she stuttered. Chun faced her smiling. “Hey, we’re both males here. Unless….you’re..” before he could finish Tokiya’s eyes were widened and opened her mouth to shock. “Hey!!! Don’t be so overreacting. Of course, I-I know that. In case there’s someone around…….h-he won’t take any suspicions on us. U-understood?” Tokiya hardly explained. “Hao lah. You said it.” Chun laughed. An annoyed face could be seen from Tokiya.

A strip of cloth fell down. Tokiya noticed it and asked him. “This is from Yukaku’s clothes. I got this from her battle with Yumi,” Chun said. Tokiya stared at it for a long time. “Why? Anything wrong?” Chun asked. Tokiya laughed and said, “Are you sure? Hahahaha. Why keep it?” Tokiya asked again. “It’s because this isn’t just a cloth but this is Yukaku. This reminds that Yukaku saves my life and that she was a big part in my life. You’ll never know how grateful I am to her. She even sacrificed…….” Tokiya stopped him before he could continue. “I know. I know. I suggest just keep it and in case, you can’t see her again at least, she left a little something,” Tokiya muttered. “What do you mean?” Chun asked again. “Nahh, Chun! We’re just implying about the possibilities, got it?”Tokiya snapped back. Chun just nodded his head.

While Chun was doing his practice, the rest with Minako were on their practice as well. Acting as the audience of the three, Minako clapped and acclaimed. “You truly are my talents. I’m so happy that I have you guys. Not only you but your assistant as well. Without him, things would have turned out different. So 15 minutes rest and we continue…..”The three sighed and sighed. “I guess, I have to make it 10 minutes….” Before she could continue, the three shook their heads to disagreement. “Oh, please, Minako. We’re on here for about 5 hours and yet you’re only giving a little time of rest. I just don’t know what you really are,”Jiro blurted. Minako focused her eyes sharply to Jiro. Jiro just made puppy looks, in return. While resting, the three thought of an idea. As they were talking, the name Tokiya became their topic. “Hey, guys. Why is it Tokiya would look so beautiful, like a girl, everytime he wears so nicely? He would just be in my eyes. I don’t know why.” Calvin turned to Jiro. “Yeah, you’re right Jiro. I remember one time when you were so on to looking Tokiya’s radiance the moment he went out of the bathroom. You nearly turned to a monster and would want to eat him in your greed. Hahaha.” Calvin laughed. “You know what? The two of you are just perverts…” Aaron became silent. “But it’s not hard to see him as a girl. That would also come across in my mind and would think about many many times. Anyways, believe me. You’re still the Calvin and the Jiro I know,” Aaron said. Calvin and Jiro looked at each other. They were not the only ones who can see it. Aaron sees it too the way Calvin and Aaron see it. Minako broke in and joined in their talk. “Believe me guys. Tokiya is just so extraordinary, just so extraordinary. Okay? So just I have put a conclusion in this chitchat of you guys….we better go on to our rehearsal and stop thinking bad things about him. Understood?!!” Minako demanded. Jiro wrinkled his face and made a sigh. Minako attempted to lift a punch on him but Jiro paid it off with puppy eyes again. “Just believe in yourself Tokiya. You can still make a lot of things not like me,” Minako muttered. Then, she turned to the three. “Okay guys. Like before, start practicing Heng Xing. You have to perfect your vocal styles here, okay? After this one…..”She began giving them task. The whole rehearsal for that day turned out to be 7 hours. The whole group was quite tired. Each took his rest where he was comfortable. A shadow. A shadow. A shadow was looking through them and gazed at them. The shadow reached for Tokiya who was snoring to sleep. The shadow caressed her cheeks and leaned over her. “Just love him. Just do,” the shadow whispered in her ears. “Just continue loving and you’ll be back in his arms. Just continue loving each other and you’ll be back in each other’s arms.”

“I’m home, Aki!” Tokiya shouted as she opened the door. The house was empty of people. She noticed and decided to look around. “Aki!.......Aki!...Are you here?” She was searching for her. She walked slowly as if careful of her steps. She went to the sala but just found a lot of food stuffs. She went to the kitchen but everything was in its place. “Where could she be?…hmmm…”she said. She went upstairs and then to Aki’s room but to no avail of her. She came over her room’s door. She took a deep breath.

25th Chapter Anxious to Say

“I know you’re here Aki, digging my Fahrenheit collections again. Hahahaha. Don’t deny it Aki…..” But she didn’t hear someone from her room. “Don’t be like this, Aki. You know I’m not only afraid of bugs but of ghosts as well. Nahhh, Aki! Just when I catch you, I’ll really lift you tons of punches.” She said in a cracking voice. She called her name again but someone would just not answer her back. Suddenly, she heard someone throwing up inside the bathroom. She hurried downstairs. And when she looked inside she shouted loudly. “Aki!!!!! You scared me to death. Didn’t you hear me outside, huh?” She noticed what was going on with her best friend. Aki was throwing up everything. “Don’t tell me. Don’t tell me..you’re..you’re..” She picked up her phone from her pocket and was making a call. “I have to call Calvin about this one. You have to get married immediately….”Tokiya said. “Hey! Stop making foolishness, Tokiya!” Aki blurted finally. Tokiya raised her eyebrow.

“Now tell me what happened, Aki! Come on.” Tokiya yelled at her best friend. Aki got herself comfortable on the couch. “Tokiya, stop overreacting, okay? You’re making the situation worse.” Aki said but nevertheless, she could still feel pain in her belly. Tokiya pouted her lips. “When Calvin confessed to me his love. I was soooooo happy that I wanted to celebrate it. Then, I ordered a lot of food from a fast food chain. I ate a lot and drank a lot until such time I could feel my stomach was running out of space for the other food stuffs. So that’s why……..” Aki lowered her head and felt so sorry of her mindfulness. Tokiya was still shocked of what she heard. She was stopping her mouth to widen but she couldn’t. “N-no..n-no..it’s okay, Aki. You mean you’re on with Calvin?” Aki nodded her head. “Why didn’t you tell me at once? Nawww!! That was so unfair of you. In fact, you’re my bestfriend….” Tokiya sighed. “Anyways, it was a wahhhhhhhhhh!!!!! I’m so so so happy for you best. Aki and Calvin are in love with each other. Hahahaha. So tell me the whole happening then. How did he do it? How did he say it? I’m so excited to hear it Aki. Don’t you know that? Come on before I’ll beat you up.” Tokiya said excitedly. Aki began her story. Tokiya was feeling happy wishing Chun would do the same. But how could Chun do it? He didn’t know that she’s a female. Tokiya just imagined things they way they were in her mind.

Watching them from a distance, Tokiya was there standing. She served as the audience. Being the audience was not only her task. She got to stare at Chun. She gazed at him for a very long time. There would stop me from confessing it to you. I don’t know what and why.” She would lower her head in a while and would look at him again. “Every person knows how to hear the heart of another.” Tokiya heard someone say. Minako was behind him. She tapped him on his shoulder and faced him. “Oh, Minako. You’re here so how’s it?” Tokiya asked Minako. “We’re still on talking things over. Don’t worry, for this last leg of the World Tour Concert, I will do my best to make it nicer. Of course, the boys must do their part too.” Minako said. Tokiya just sighed in tranquility. “I just really hope that our requests will be granted. The last leg must be more successful than their previous ones.” Tokiya muttered. “So how are they doin?”Minako asked and noticed that Tokiya was gazing at Chun. Tokiya turned to her and smiled. “You know what? Chun has really improved a lot. I can still remember his being snotty the first time I came here but as we get along each other, he becomes nicer to me. He knows how to smile already,” Tokiya said. Minako giggled. “What’s funny?” Tokiya asked. Minako looked at Chun and said, “Chun was always quite. He may seem distant from the other 3 but he knows how to befriend them. The first time he entered showbiz, you could often see him in a corner. He was just shy at those times.” Minako turned her face to Tokiya. “And when you came here, he became nicer. He was not distant anymore but you can still notice his quietness at times. He smiles more than he smiled before. He has more time to spend with us than before. He became aware of many many things. And I give you credits for that, Tokiya.” Tokiya could feel her cheeks turned to bright crimson. “Oh, thank you for saying that Minako but I think I’m not the only one who has changed him a lot….”she began. “I know Tokiya but of all the people, you are the one who has contributed the most and I appreciate that.” After hearing that, Tokiya couldn’t help but to thank Minako for her words. “So back to my question a while ago, how are they doin while I wasn’t here?” Minako smiled and raised her eyebrow. “Oh, did you ask me? Oh, so sorry. I wasn’t in my mind a while ago. Dui bu qi.” Tokiya apologized. “We’re just doing okay. I think just a little bit and we’ll be able to perfect the song.” They heard Calvin said. Everyone came near. “Good to hear that then, guys. Since you have done better, my treat today.” Jiro widened his eyes. “Oh, really! How true is that? Huh?” Jiro teased. Minako gave him sharp eyes. “Oops, super puppy eyes.” And Jiro did his puppy eyes again. Everyone laughed. “Hey, Chun? How’s the practice?” Chun heard Tokiya asking him. Chun smiled to her and answered, “It’s okay. Feelin hungry?” Chun asked him back. “Just now you said it.” Chun smiled again. Tokiya pulled out a towel for Chun. “Oh, thanks. Good you bring one for me. I just forgot.” Chun said. The other three turned to Tokiya and asked for towels too. She laughed. “Of course, I know you three would ask too. Here…”she began giving them. Minako broke in the conversation. “Hao lah. Hao lah. Let’s go now before I change my mind and you’ll surely eat nothing today.” And everyone went to eat.

“These gelatos, bagels, and waffles sure look delicious!” Jiro slurped. Everyone wasn’t only tired but hungry as well. As promised, Minako, FRH’s manager, ordered for them all. She was the one who ordered the gelatos, bagels, and waffles. “Okay, guys. Let’s fill our stomach to its satiety!!” Minako began and everybody was eating. In-between big bites, Tokiya was up to something. “What would you feel if the one you always get along with discloses her secret to you knowing that it must have been a long time that she kept it from you?” She thought as she was eating greedily. “I would have said it long before but it wasn’t that easy. Sigh!” she sighed. “Guess, I really have to prepare if you’re gonna hate me, Chun,” she added. Chun noticed her. “What is she thinking? This Tokiya must have been thinking about the whole incident ever since.” He thought. “Tokiya, stop thinking about it or you’re gonna be crazy.” He added as he was observing the greedy Tokiya. “Anything the matter? Tokiya?” He finally asked her. Tokiya was startled. Chun’s face was so near to her face. His face was just so tame. She couldn’t help herself but to praise the flawless face of his. Then, Tokiya gave him a faint smile. “N-nothin.”She stuttered. “Just don’t pay any attention to me.” She said. Chun was just forced to stop asking her and sat back. He made himself ready if anything happens to Tokiya. “Don’t worry Tokiya. I’ll be here for you.” Chun said in his mind. Observing him, Tokiya noticed something on Chun’s neck. It has been the necklace that his mom had given to Chun on her deathbed. Thinking about this one, Tokiya felt so sorry for Chun. She didn’t like to ask him more because he might just remember the sad thing that happened to his mom. But that’s not the only thing she remembered, she remembered her necklace too. Chun was keeping it and so she planned on how to get it from him. However, a better idea would not come into her mind. “Chun…” Chun heard Tokiya called. Chun then turned to her.
“Do you still remember A-aki’s friend?”
“Oh, yes. She was just so shy that’s why I never get to know her. Why the sudden ask?”
“Yeah. She’s just shy in front of people. Ermmm…she said to me that her necklace fell and she doesn’t know where to find it. Ermmm…..did anyone of you see it?”
Chun dug something from his pocket and the necklace that Tokiya had been looking for had come out. She extended her arm to get it from his palm but Chun moved his hand away. “You cannot get it unless that friend of yours comes around and introduce herself to us.”
“But-but……As I said, she is too shy.” Tokiya said.
“Fine. I’ll just keep this and add this to my accessories.”
“No, please. Huhuhu. Chun, that necklace is so important to her. It has significance, okay?”

26th Chapter Ineffective Tactics

Chun bit his lip. “As I said no one can get this unless she’ll come to us and get this herself. Right guys?” Chun turned his face to everyone and the rest nodded their head including Minako. Tokiya just pouted her lips to disagreement. “See…everyone wants to see your friend.” He said. “You know what? She has looks. Not bad” He added. Upon hearing this, Tokiya was so happy. Just so happy that for Chun, she is beautiful in his eyes. She turned her eyes again to Chun. “She knows how to dress unlike you.” He added. Tokiya this time was furious. She pushed her teeth against the other. “Hey! Are you saying that I don’t know how to wear clothes? And besides, a man’s clothes are different from a woman’s clothes. Okay? Just look how handsome I am.” Tokiya blurted out. Chun was caught off-guard. He didn’t know what to say next. He has been thinking that Tokiya is a girl. It was a mistake that he compared Tokiya to someone who is different from him so to say. Indeed. He just made a sigh to himself. Seeing Tokiya in an angry face, he grinned.

Meanwhile, Aaron observed the 2 ever since they came in the resto. He could see that Chun’s liking to Tokiya is becoming more obvious. He could see how Chun was so worried for her when Chun saw that she was not in herself at that time. The best part of it all, it looked like Chun had nearly spilled the milk a while ago. He had nearly exposed Tokiya. Aaron smiled and was glad for them two but he’s not giving up. He’s still hoping that Tokiya will like him despite the fact he knows. That fact is Tokiya is in love with Chun.

“Tokiya, how’s Aki been doing?” Calvin blurted to ask her. Everyone was looking at him. They just don’t know what is going on between them. “Hey! Aren’t you telling your relationship with Aki to us?” Aaron broke the silence. Just when he tried asking him, everyone started to look at him closely. Calvin felt inconvenient of their leer looks. “Hey! What are you looking at? I-I just asked Tokiya if Aki is fine or whatever.” Calvin was trying to explain. Tokiya sat back. “Sigh!!!!! Your girlfriend is okay. Don’t worry.” Tokiya spurted. Upon hearing this, all were stunned. Calvin was shy. “Calvin!!!!” Calvin heard Jiro shouting. “Why didn’t you tell us? How long has this been?” Jiro asked him. Calvin tried to compose himself. “A-actually, what Tokiya said is true. Sorry guys for keeping this to you. I just don’t know when to say this but I never intended to keep this from you forever. Don’t misunderstand me, guys.” Calvin explained. Everyone was still shocked. But nevertheless, they were all happy for their friend who got himself a girlfriend despite his busy schedule. Tokiya faced everyone. “Aren’t we happy for him guys? On the other side, I’m also happy for my friend Aki. She got herself a boyfriend while I didn’t.” Tokiya sighed. “That will come Tokiya. Just wait for that time to come.” Aaron said to her. Considering this as another celebration, Minako ordered another set of food and drinks for all of them. Guess, they’re having a party indeed.

Knock. Knock. Knock. Someone knocked at the door. Aki opened it and saw Tokiya weary. Aki told her to get inside at once. Tokiya got himself on the couch. She was just so tired. Aki was looking at her sad face. “Aki….Aki……Help me!” Tokiya cried. “What happened?” Aki asked her. “Chun is not returning my necklace!!! He’s so rude. He just doesn’t know how important it is to me. You know?” Tokiya was crying. “Sheesh. Could you please stop crying? You’re ruining my eardrums, okay?” But Tokiya was just so sad. “On the other side, don’t you like that one of your precious things is in his hands?” Aki asked again. “But that’s not it Aki. He doesn’t know about it at all. Okay? Huhuhuhu.” Aki scratched her chin. “So what are we going to do now? All of our plans have failed Tokiya. How awful!” She said.

Tokiya was talking with her best friend Aki on the phone. They were talking on how to get Tokiya’s valuable necklace from Chun. “So here he is. He’s sleeping. What are we to do next?” Tokiya asked Aki on the phone.
“Just walk slowly and make sure there is no noise. Then, get the necklace from where it is kept.”
“Nah, the necklace is inside his pocket. It’s hard this way, Aki. Don’t you have any other ideas?”
“I think this is the perfect time. Okay? Chun is sleeping.”
“Fine. I’ll just try he won’t feel what I’m gonna do. Wish me luck.”

Tokiya put away her cellphone and looked around to make sure that no one was around. She walked stealthily. She was near Chun now. She leaned over to check if he was really asleep. And he was. Looking at his face in deep slumber makes him handsome even more. She shook her head and reminded that getting the necklace back to her was her goal. So she moved slowly……moved her hands inside Chun’s pocket……her hand was searching for the necklace. While she was doing it, she was surely nervous. What if she is caught? But, Chun’s hand landed on her hand and wrapped it around Tokiya’s. Tokiya was now more nervous. She could feel her heart beating faster. She pulled her other hand and pulled Chun’s hand away from her right hand. And her right hand was now free from any obstruction. Just when her hand was about to get the necklace Chun moved to his side facing Tokiya closely. She immediately felt like Chun was gonna kiss her. Chun’s lovely face seemed getting nearer and nearer. Without thinking twice, Tokiya pushed her away and Chun fell on the floor. She ran as fast as she could.

“He nearly kissed me on my lips! He was lucky I didn’t slap him on his delicate face….” Tokiya said as her lips pouted. She had slouched on a pillow.
“Even then, you still hurt him Tokiya.”
“He just deserved it, Aki. No one has ever touched me on my lips ever since….” She rolled her eyes. “But if only he had kissed me, I’d not resist him. Wahhhh!!!!” Tokiya delighted her eyes.
“What?! Oh really…If only he had kissed you, huh?” Aki lifted a pillow and threw it onto her. In return, Tokiya did the same to her best friend. The night had turned into a pillow party.

At that time they were in Malaysia for a concert. Just as she wanted to have her necklace back again, Tokiya thought of another plan.

One time on a lonely night, Chun and Tokiya were sitting on a bench. That was the time when Tokiya had a little wound. As they were chatting under the shining moon, they were looking at the starry night. Tokiya started out her plan. She moved her fingers as if they were walking stealthily through the bench. She felt stiff as she was touching Chun’s muscular leg. Her eyes widened. She could feel her heart beating faster again. Just as she moved her eyes she saw that Chun was looking at her hand. She then shook her head saying that she wasn’t doing anything wrong. Chun gave a suspicious look. Then, Tokiya kept on shaking her head. “No! You got it all wrong, Chun.” She tried to explain. From a smile, his lips formed to laughs. “If only you can see your reddish face, Tokiya. Hahahaha.” He continued to laugh. Tokiya was rubbing her face with her palms as if the face would turn to its normal color. Nevertheless, seeing him happy, at the back of her mind were these words, “Chun I’m so happy that you’re happy as well whenever I tag along.”

“Even though, your blunt plan failed again..” Aki teased.
“Hey….my ideas are always better than yours!”
“Chun I’m so happy that you’re happy as well whenever I tag along,” Aki tried to follow Tokiya’s words, teasing her. She laughed, then. Tokiya laughed as well. “But you know what, sis? You’re so lucky to have Chun by your side. I think he doesn’t take you as a male at all. He seems he knows everything!” Aki said. Tokiya raised an eyebrow. “I just hope it’s true, Aki. In that way, no one will be hurt but what if what’s really happening is the other side? Sigh!!!! Nerve-whacking! That’s not only my problem. There is this necklace thingy that I have to solve yet. Hmp!” she exclaimed. “Well…..we’ll just try our luck next time.” Aki assured her friend. Aki gave a thumbs-up.

27th Chapter Looking Back into the Past

Tokiya was moving her head from side to side. Her eyes were closed. A nightmare must have been bothering her. Drops of sweats ran down her face and neck.

Prince Goh Kiat Chun, who is fighting Yumi’s minions, ran off to Yukaku. It’s too late to stop what Yumi had created. It’s too late. It’s too late. An intense explosion broke out amidst the 2 ladies. The one whom the 2 love so much was gone..he’s gone to nowhere.
“Goh Kiat Chun!!!!!!!!!” Yukaku shouted.
“No..no..no!!!” Yumi shouted.
“You’ll pay for this! Yumi!”

Yukaku summoned her ginzuisho and wiped Yumi and her minions away.

“Ginzuisho! I ask you. Please save my beloved. Save Prince Goh Kiat Chun.” An enormous light came out and flooded everywhere. “Goh Kiat Chun! I don’t care if I have broken the taboo. If breaking the taboo is saving you then, I won’t hesitate to do it. I’m Only For You! I don’t know if I can still see your dagger looks.”
Couldn’t bear the impact the ginzuisho had given out, Yukaku collapsed. A light was unleashed and she was all gone.

Tokiya opened her eyes and sat up on her bed. She was panting. “So that’s how it happened. I was truly reincarnated. But why?” She continued to pant. Despite the fear that she felt at that night, her lips formed into a grin. “Maybe….we’re just destined to see each other in the end.” She muttered in herself.

Tokiya went early to work. Slouching on a seat, dark circles were vivid around her eyes. In a moment, Chun arrived with fresh look. As soon as he opened the door he saw Tokiya. He then came near towards her and greeted her a good morning. Tokiya did seem she didn’t hear any of Chun’s words. So Chun faced Tokiya and stared at her. At this time Chun wondered why Tokiya didn’t step back. Tokiya steps back whenever Chun nears his face to Tokiya. Tokiya must have been in a very deep daydream or thought, either. He smiled and moved his face nearer as if he wanted to kiss Tokiya. Noticing that someone’s forming lips were moving towards her, Tokiya widened her eyes and moved back nervously. Chun then, laughed. “Hey! I’m not in the mood to get along with your jokes. What were you doing just a while ago?” Tokiya blurted out. Chun grinned. “Well, I was just kissing you. Wasn’t that nice?” Chun teased. Tokiya turned to his monster face. But then what she really wanted was it. At the back of her mind, “You could have just done it, Chun. I miss your red lips…” Chun saw what she was doing. She was again not in her mind, he thought. Chun started to do it again however, Tokiya just knew that he was gonna do the same thing again. The 2 laughed.

“Hurry up guys, let’s start our second to the last rehearsal. Two days more and it will be another big day for us all. Shanghai concert will just boisterous.” Minako said as she pulled her phone for her pocket. The rest had come. “Minako, isn’t that much? You could have just used another descriptive word other than that.” Jiro yelled at the stingy manager. Annoyed, Minako wrinkled her eyebrows. Just as she opened her mouth to vent out Jiro had just impressed her with his puppy eyes. That would always be the case. Sigh! Minako’s phone rang and so she got to answer the ringing gadget. “Thank you. Thank you so much. I promise you. We’ll do our best to pay off what you have exerted. Xie xie. Xie xie.” Minako said on the phone. Everyone watched her curving her lips to grin. Minako then turned to them and told them that the management had just approved their request. “That’s so so good news Minako. At last…our petitions have been granted. Yippee!” Tokiya celebrated. “So much for that good news, let’s start our intense rehearsal, okay? Hurry!” Minako snapped up. Minako instructed them to start on Heng Xing. Heng xing is Tokiya’s favorite song. Looking in to its lyrics, she would not get her mind off it. “I would not be listening to it anymore.” She muttered as her eyes seem so solemn. “It’s not just a déjà vu but it’s truly a reincarnation. Loving you is endless….”
In the sad atmosphere surrounding Tokiya, a shadow was behind her. It was staring at her. “You’re protecting him than ever, Tokiya. I wish that someday you get to find in each other’s arms.” The shadow stepped back and walked.
“Nahh!! I don’t have a chance!! Huhuhu….” Tokiya said as she called up her bestfriend, Aki.
“Then, that means we can never have your necklace back…”
“Stop teasing me, okay? You had better help me think about this. You’re my bestfriend, right?”
“I’m your bestfriend….but I’m not as wise as Einstein okay?”
“Hao lah…in any way, just think of a way..” She then remembered what nearly happened between her and Chun. It would cross her mind. She didn’t want to convince herself that what Chun was trying to do a while ago was just a means of waking her up from her thought. But then, she didn’t know what was in Chun’s mind a while ago too. Perhaps, either of the two. What he did maybe just a way of teasing Tokiya or maybe he really wanted to take the opportunity to kiss Tokiya on her lips. She was in deep thought again.

In front of her was a picture of Wu Chun. Looking at it always makes her remember of Chun. Well, she should be for Wu Chun is the prince himself. A fragment of the past comes back into her mind. “Chun…..”

“Chun, what do you wish for?” Yumi asked him while staring at his beautiful eyes. Chun smirked at her and asked the same to her. Yumi raised an eyebrow and insisted for his immediate answer. Chun smiled again. “……to know someone whom I like so much ever since…..”Chun began. Yumi giggled. The sun shone so brightly. The butterflies were hovering in the sky. The flowers danced as the wind passes by them. All of these things, Chun felt so good. These would remind her of somebody. As complicated as these creations, Chun would think the same to this somebody. Feeling the wind hitting her, Yumi turned herself to Chun. “What do you mean?” she asked. Chun smiled once more. “Who’s the girl?” she asked again. “You know her. She just has everything. For me she is as beautiful as these butterflies. She is as delicate as these flowers. She is as gentle as this wind hitting us right now. She is as radiant as the golden sun……Am I talking too much?” Chun asked as he smiled. Yumi was in deep thought. Who could be this someone, she thought. “It’s not impossible it’s me, right?” Yumi giggled secretly. Chun wondered why she giggled. “Nah..just don’t mind me. How about we go and have stroll around the meadows. It feels like we’re in paradise. Do you agree?” Yumi offered Chun. “I think that’s a good idea.” Chun first stood up from the grass and extended his hand for Yumi. Yumi grasped his hand and stood.

In her thought, she took it as if Chun was feeling love for her. Most probably, the woman he was referring to is me, she thought again. “I never thought of this before…I never knew love until I met you Chun. Everything is just so good for me. But among those, my love for you is the most precious….” She said to herself as she was gazing into his delicate and tame face. Both strolled around and enjoyed the wonders of Mother Nature.

Out of the tall grasses, someone was standing nearby gazing the crystal blue waters of the lake in front of her. Chun saw her. He watched her. It’s her, he thought to himself. “ I can never be wrong.” He gazed at her who was staring at the lake. His lips curved into smiles. The woman looked back and her eyes were just so beautiful for him. Yumi rushed near her. “What are you two doing here? There could be another place but here.” Yukaku said. “Sheesh, we didn’t know that you’re here..okay?” Yumi replied. Yumi called Chun at a distance. Yukaku looked at him intently. She could feel her cheeks turning red. Chun smiled at him and she smiled at him too. She saw the smiles and something was bothering in her mind. Somewhat was boggling in Yumi’s mind too.

( -- “You’re just so unfair Yukaku. I trusted you but you ended up betraying me……Why do you have to do this to me? I could have considered you to be my closest friend but…but….”
Tears formed at the corner of her eyes…..--)

“Yukaku, what if I’m inlove to someone….” Yumi began. Yukaku who was knitting turned to her friend and smiled. “Do you think he’ll love me too?”she asked again. “As long as he likes you too, how come it is impossible? Right?” Yukaku replied with satisfaction on her face. Yumi nodded her head. “Ermmm…who’s this man, by the way?” Yukaku asked this time. Deep in her thoughts Yumi turned to her and was about to whisper her the name but Yukaku stepped back. “I think it’s better if I’m gonna meet him.” Yukaku said. “Yukaku…” Before Yumi could have put up another word, Yukaku stopped her from telling so.

Passing by a tree with lots of pears, Yumi had an idea. “I will bring some delicious pears for him. Chun will be so delighted to see these big pears.” She then, made her way to find the prince. Once she had arrived, the pears fell. What she saw was so flabbergasting. She saw the 2. Chun and Yukaku were chatting with one another. They were laughing together. They were telling different stories. They were enjoying each other’s company. And seeing the 2, Yumi couldn’t resist her emotions. For her, what they were doing was hurting her.

( --- “I exerted more effort to learn the skills a warrior must have. I thought if I would be strong he would love me the way he loved her….But that’s not it. They turned out to be lovers. It was then I decided to go against everyone in the kingdom. It was then I decided that Chun is just for me and I have to have him back in my arms….” --- )

Yumi waged war against the kingdom. It wasn’t just an ordinary war but it was a war for love…
“No..no..no!!” she exclaimed. “Chun….”
Chun was left wounded in the stillness of the air.

“Things might have turned different in the end. But you were just getting in my way, Yukaku. You’ll pay for what you’ve done to Chun before. You’ll pay for what you’ve done to me…”
