SNSD's 8month absence

"Please wait little bit longer"

...

Unlike other idol groups(Big Bang, Wonder Girls, FT Island), who have been releasing their album without going on a long hiatus, SNSD's (pictured above) 8 month absence seems too long.

SNSD released their repackage album "Baby Baby" on March. Ever since then, they haven't released their new album for 8 months. In between, Taeyeon sang OST songs "If" and "Can you hear me" for drama "Hong Gildong" and "Beethoven Virus" respectively. However, there has been many posts in SNSD fansites about when SNSD will come back. Since SNSD's 'Into the New World', 'Girl's Generation', and 'Baby Baby' have gained widespread popularity and won 1st place in various music programs, there's a high expectation for their upcoming new album.

Knowing fans' high expectation for their come back, probably, SNSD are working even harder to enhance the quality of their new album.

Meanwhile, SNSD's Yoona and Sooyoung were accepted by Donggook University and Central University
respectively; they will be a college student next year.

Group Member Most Likely to Succeed Solo, 1st Place - Taeyeon

Girls' Generation's Tae Yeon was selected as 'The Most likely Female Artist In A Group To Succeed If Went Solo."

According to 12 day community portal site, DC Inside posted a poll that lasted from the 4th to the 11th. The poll asked 'Who Is the Mostly Likely Femal Artist IN a Group To Succeed If Went Solo." Out of the total possible votes of 4737, Tae Yeon received 1680 votes (35.5%) putting her in 1st place.

Earlier this year, Tae Yeon provided the vocals for KBS2 drama OST for 'Hong Gil Dong' starring Sung Yuri as Huh Enoc. The song was titled 'If' and grabbed many people's attention. With Tae Yeon's exeptional voice and sad tone, she was able to lead the OST to the top of the charts.

And again, Tae Yeon was chosen to provide vocals for the OST for MBC's hit drama 'Beethoven Virus' starring Lee Jiah as Durumi. The song is titled 'Can You Hear Me' and as you can see, she is emerging as the OST Queen.

2nd place with 1383 votes (29.2%) was Kara's Han Seung Yeon. With Kara's mini album Rock You, she has gained a lot of popularity. And she also chosen to MC on music channel KMTV's tv show called 'So-Nyun So-Nyuh Gayo Baekseo." She continues to be a lively host on that show.

Wonder Girl's Sunye recieved 189 votes (4%) and came in 3rd place. Sunye was featured on Mighty Mouth's track 'Energy' and has gained a lot of popularity.

Also Girls' Generation's Tiffany and Hyoyeon, Wonder Girl's Sohee, and, Brown Eyed Girl's Ga-In made this list as well.

Moon Chaewon and Yoona Take 1st and 2nd for, "Future Stars of the Small Screen"


Moon Chaewon and Yoona were selected as the rising stars of the small screen.

Moon Chaewon, who is currently starring in the SBS drama, "Court painter of wind," as JungHyang collected 47.9% (5859) of the votes for the poll on the portal site Daum, "Who will be the big star of the small screen?" beating
SoNyuhShiDae's Yoona, starring in KBS1's "You are My Destiny," who collected 43.4% (5312) of the votes.

Moon Chaewon drew the viewer's attention with a lesbian scene with Moon Keunyoung who played the role of, Shin Yoonbok, a cross-dressing woman.
Moon Chaewon also had an increase in her popularity due to her distinctly oriental yet elegant look which fit well with the role of JungHyang who is a dancer girl who maintains a haughty character.

Following behind was Yoona 43.4% (5312), Shin DaEun came in third with with 6.85% *838). In fourth with 1.82% (222) was Han DaMin.

Although Moon Chaewon is a new actress and this is her first attempt at a traditional drama, Netizens believe that she has a lot of potential in the future because she was able to create as much interest as main actors Moon KeunYoung and Park ShinYang.

Moon Chaewon stated that, "I know that as a beginner I am lacking a lot and have a lot to learn, but I think that people like me because the character of JungHyang is so alluring. I will continue to work hard to become an actress who can impress the viewers, so please keep on supporting me."

Following that statement she said, "When I watch how I came out on screen, how the viewers would be seeing me, that is the time that I am critical on myself. I kept on working so I could hear people say that my acting got better from the first half to the second half," and showed her drive as somone up and coming.

On the other hand, in "Court painter of wind," as the mystery surrounding the "SaDoSaeJa" murder involving Kim HongDo (Park ShinYang), Shin YoonBok (Moon KeunYoung), and JungJo (Bae Soobin), is slowly being unveiled, and a thrilling plot is expected.

"Magic Gil" Gil and SoNyuhShiDae Yuri portraits revealed: "A Monster!"

"Magic Gil" Professor Gil drew lots of laughter with his comic drawing of SoNyuhShiDae's Yuri

On KBS2TV's Kko Kko Travel Agency, Gil was a couple with Yuri and enjoyed a wonderful date on Jeju Island.

In the first round of Kko Kko, Gil put date partner, Park Jungah in a fix with his random quirkiness and Yuri was unable to avoid that as well.

After being tired out by Gil's constant randomness, Yuri asked for her last wish of riding a boat. Eventually, Gil agreed to that and requested that they, "draw portraits of each other."

After agreeing to do so, Yuri and Gil put a lot of "effort" into drawing each other's portrait. Druing the first series of Kko Kko, Gil drew lots of laughter by drawing comic figures on the faces of SoNyuhShiDae's Tiffany, Jung ShiAh, and Tim and is able to show off a unique talent of his through his portrait of Yuri.

As he drew the portrait Gil that Yuri's, "face ratio is good. It's a pretty style," "you're one of the prettiest singers in our country," but when he revealed his portrait, it was "monster-esque"

Yuri could not hide her shock after seeing Gil's drawing that, "hid the good points and emphasized the bad points." During that time Gil, instead of being courteous, teased Yuri saying that, "Yuri has short legs," and drew attention as a new comic character.

Girls' Generation / SNSD member Taeyeon was injured on the February 6th edition of KBS Music Bank. The injury occurred during their "Gee" performance with pyrotechnics / fireworks. During the performance, one of the fireworks shot up and hit Taeyeon in the face. The girls immediately stopped performing and rushed to her, along with the managers.

Fortunately, she wasn't seriously hurt. She was able to perform again for the second take and for the encore when they won first place for the 3rd time in a row.
