Chapter 1: Fated
"You know exactly why I'm doing this, right Xiao Yu?" Yi Quan asked nervously. "You know I am willing to give up everything I have just to be by her side... just to have her again..." "I was such a jerk when I let her go... do you think she will forgive me?" "Will she still accept me despite the fact that I have hurt her?" "Do you think she will understand... that everything that I am, everything that I feel... it's because of her? That I love everything that I have become and everything that I am whenever I am with her?"
XIao Yu smiled at him and sighed. For a man madly in love, Yi Quan sure is a blabber. He looked at his watch. Yi Quan still have an hour before he leaves. Guess he'll be stuck with Yi Quan's blabbering till he gets on that plane to Manila to chase his angel, Kelsi. "She will understand..." he said. "I could tell she still loves you..." He looked at Yi Quan. He was lucky to finally find his soulmate, that girl God have prepared for him. He was lucky to finally realize his feelings for Kelsi before it's too late. Unlike him...
Yi Quan notices the sudden change of expression in Xiao Yu's face. "Is there something wrong?" he asked. Xiao Yu looked up at him and forced a smile. "No... no... just promise me you won't let Kelsi go this time..." he said to him. Yi Quan nodded his head. There's no way he will let Kelsi slip away again. Not this time. This time, he'll make sure it's forever.
They heard the final call on his plane. Yi Quan said his goodbye to Xiao Yu. Before he walked away, Xiao Yu called him again. "It's gonna be a blue moon three days from now. You know what they say about blue moon. Make sure you're with Kelsi if you wish to spend the rest of your life with her..." he shouted at Yi Quan. Yi Quan just nodded his head and hurried to board the plane.

Luna stepped out of the tarmac, and looked around the place. She would not have gone to Taiwan if only she have the choice, but it was her grandma's last wish. Luna touched the pendant around her neck. She still remembered what her grandma said before she died. "Return this to it's rightful owner..." she said. But who owns this pendant? She knows that it has been with her grandma for ages, and she knows that it was her grandpa who gave it to her. Why does she have to find it's real owner and return it to them?
She sighed. She have been thinking about that logic since the day her grandma died. It was hard for her to convince her mom and dad that she have to go to Taiwan to fulfill her promise. They never understood. So she did all possible ways to be able to go to Taiwan... and her alibi is a scholarship grant in National Taipei University (which is coincidentally her grandma's alma mater).
She wondered why her grandma would want to have the necklace returned to its owner. What's the story behind it? She toyed with the pendant on her neck as she walked towards the airport's exit. Maybe her stay in Taiwan would be one hell of an adventure.
--
Xiao Yu was heading for the airport's exit, when a girl suddenly bumped into him. Xiao Yu loses his balance, and fell on top of the girl. "Ouch!" the girl shouted. Xiao Yu looked into her face, and saw something familiar in her... she looked exactly like... no it can't be. "I'm sorry..." Xiao Yu said as he stood up. "No, it was my fault, I wasn't looking..." she said as she gathered her things. He helped the girl with her things, she smiled at him then hurried to the exit. As he watched her leave, he noticed something in his hand. He held it up, and saw a crescent shaped necklace...

Chapter 2: Stolen
After a few minutes of waiting, a van parked in front of Luna. A girl came out and greeted her. "Luna!" the girl shrieked as she ran towards her. It was her cousin, Xia Tian. Luna smiled at her, and hugged her. It's been a long time since she last saw Xia Tian, around 10 years she guess, and that was during her first and last vacation in Taiwan. She was more than happy to see her cousin again.
"Wow! I can't believe you're really here! And on top of that, we're schoolmates! This is really cool!" Xia Tian said as they were on their way to their house. Luna just smiled at her cousin. Like her, Xia Tian will be an incoming freshman at the university. It's good for her, since she really doesn't like making friends with strangers. She stared outside the van and watched the view outside. She was glad that she would be stay in her grandma's homeland for a long time. All her life, she have been living in Canada with her parents and grandma, and when they went to Taiwan for a vacation, she didn't have much memories of it. As she remembered her grandma, she reached for her neck, and to her surprise, she found that her pendant, he grandma's pendant, was gone.
"Xia Tian..." she said to her cousin. Xia Tian looked at her, giving her a confused look as she saw the horrified look at Luna's face. "My pendant... it's gone!" Luna said. "Pendant? Which pendant?" "The one grandma gave me! Let's go back to the airport... I need to find it..." "But we're almost home, Luna!" "I need to find it... I promised grandma -" "Luna... we can't go back! It's an hour drive back to the airport plus all the traffic..."
Luna just sighed. How could she lose that pendant? She knows it's very important to her grandma. How can she be carelss at times like this? “Maybe you just put it inside your bag...” Xia Tian said. Luna shook her head. “Since the day grandma gave it to me, it never left my neck... somebody must have stolen it!” “Did something happened at the airport before we found you?”
Then, Luna remembered what happened a while ago. It was when she bumped into a guy and the guy fell on top of her. “That's it!” she exclaimed. “That guy who bumped me at the airport! That's the one who stole my necklace!”
--
Xiao Yu came home a few minutes later. He settled onto the couch, then pulled the necklace from his pocket. His eyes must have been tricking him a while ago at the airport, for when he stared at the girl he bumped to, she looked exactly like Yu An. He closed his eyes as he tried to remember the face of that girl. Her eyes, her lips, everything in her resembles Yu An.
“What's that?” he heard someone ask. He turned, and saw Ya Se carrying a bag of groceries. For the next three weeks or so, he and Ya Se would be house sitting for Yi Quan. He sent Mei Ru away while he's gone so that his assistant could visit his family while he's in Manila to woo Kelsi back. Xiao Yu just smiled at him. “Nothing...” he said. Ya Se gave him a skeptical look. “Nothing means something. Show it to me.” he said as he sat beside him. Xiao Yu had no choice but to show him the crescent-shaped pendant. “Wow... that's beautiful! Don't tell me you bought that for your date tonight?” Xiao Yu gave him a confused look. “Date?” “Yeah! Didn't I tell you? We have a date. Xiu Yi set us up with the girlfriends of the one he's dating right now.” “I think I'll pass...” Xiao Yu said, shaking his head. Ya Se just sighed when he heard his answer. 'Spoilsport.... you should go out more often, Xiao Yu. The media are already thinking there's something wrong with you... if you know what I mean.” Ya Se said. Amongst the member of their band, only Xiao Yu is the one that's not being linked to anyone or is even rumored to have a girlfriend, unlike the three. And because of this, the media speculates that he is gay, especially since he is extremely close with Yi Quan.
“I don't care about what they think...” Xiao Yu said. He stood up from the couch, and headed to the kitchen. “I don't think I could be with anyone as long as I could not forget about her...” he thought.
--
“God d**n that thief!” Luna shouted as soon as she entered her room. She jumped onto her bed, covered her head with a pillow, and shouted. Xia Tian sat beside her, and just shook her head. “What's with that necklace?” Xia Tian asked. Luna pulled the pillow away from her face, and sat up on the bed. “Before grandma died... she gave that necklace to me and asked me to return it to it's rightful owner...” she explained. This made Xia Tian even more confused. “Rightful owner? Didn't grandpa gave it to her when they were young? It has been with grandma for so long!” she said. Luna nodded and agreed with her. “That's why I came here... I'm here to find out the story behind that necklace... but now it's gone...” she said.
Luna took a big sigh and lie on her bed. “Now, the big adventure is gone...” she said. Xia Tian smiled, and just shook her head. “We can still find out all about that necklace.” Xia Tian said. Luna gave her cousin a skeptical look. “Didn't you remember, this house has been with the Chens for generations. Maybe grandma still have some old stuffs lying around.” Then, Xia Tian winked at Luna.
--
“Are you really sure about not going?” Xiu Yi asked Xiao Yu as he was waiting for Ya Se to come out. Xiao Yu jusgt shook his head. “Why don't you try dating for once, Xiao Yu?” “I don't want to. I'd rather study than go out on a date.” Xiu Yi gave him a skeptical look. “What?” Xiao Yu asked in an irritated voice. He noticed the way Xiu Yi looked at him, as if questioning him. “Tell me the truth... are you gay?” Xiu Yi asked. “Of course I'm not!” Xiao Yu shouted at him. Xiu Yi just laughed at his shocked expression. “Really?” “To tell you the truth, I was supposed to get married, but then...”
Then, he paused. He didn't want to continue telling his story to Xiu Yi, knowing the guy has a really big mouth. Aside from that, he knows this is not the right time to open up the past. “Then what?” Xiu Yi asked. Xiao Yu looked at him. “Nothing.” he said. Then, he walked away from him, leaving him with a lot of questions. Xiu Yi just shook his head. He knows Xiao Yu is the type of guy that keeps everything to himself. “He'll come around...” he thought.
--
Three Days Later.
Luna and Xia Tian were standing in front of the registrar's office that morning to enroll. They were filling up some forms for the classes that they will take that semester. “Aiyo...why can't we be classmates in some of our classes?” Xia Tian cried to her cousin. Luna just smiled at her cousin. “Youi're taking up Interior Designing. I'm taking up Chinese Literature. We really can't be classmates, Xia Tian...” “Can you shift to Interior Design?” “If I do then what's the use of my scholarship? I used that as an alibi so that mom and dad would allow me to go back here...”
Xia Tian just sighed, but she still wished she and her cousin would be classmates in of their classes. She looked up at one of the papers on the bulletin board, then an idea hit her head. “Hey, I think I still need to take up History. Let's take that class together, OK?” she said. Luna looked up at her and nodded her head. “OK. Finish that up so that we could already go home.”
Meanwhile, Xiao Yu walked inside the registar's office to enroll. He smiled at those people who greeted him. Finally, after two years, he have decided to go back to school. He stopped studying when he became a singer. It also gave him more time to think what he should take up as his major. He approached the registrar and asked for the enrollment form. As soon as he have it, he looked at the bulletin boards to check what subjects he should take up. When he looked up, he saw a familiar face. He blinked his eyes, to be sure that his eyes are not tricking him again. It's the girl that he bumped at the airport three days ago – the one who owned the crescent-shaped pendant. He smiled to himself, maybe it's fated that they would see each other again. Good thing he brought the necklace with him that moment.
Luna and Xia Tian have finished filling up their forms, and have passed it to the registrar. They were about to leave, when Luna saw a familiar face staring at her. It was the guy whom she bumped into at the airport. Luna paused, her eyes was filled with rage. She want to walk to that guy, punch him and demand for her necklace. “Luna... is there something wrong?” Xia Tian asked. She noticed a change of expression in her face. “Xia Tian... that's the guy who stole my necklace.” Luna said, pointing at Xiao Yu. Xia Tian looked at him, and was surprised. “He... he did?” she asked. Luna nodded her head, then he walked over him. Xia Tian immediately followed her cousin, afraid of what she would do to him. Obviously, her cousin didn't know that the thief Luna is talking about, is the ever-famous Ding Xiao Yu.
