A SM insider talks about the fabulous five" Leader Jung Yunho: A perfect socialite, he handles social scenes very well, not only it's due to extensive training from SM, but also has a lot to do with his personality and his family surrounding. SM was focusing on him since the begining of days because they knew he was something special. The whole : " I only became leader after JaeJoong hyung said he didn't want to be one" talk is all garbage, JJ's personality isn't suitable for a leader, which will be explained later on in this.
Yunho's very well rounded, and he knows what to say and what to do at places, even when he absolutely has to critize someone, he does in a low-down way that it's not dramatic, once back stage, this big time celebrity was upset about something, so he was basically cussing everyone out, no one had the guts to say anything because he was such a big shot, but Yunho came into the room, greeted the big shot and started some casual chit chat, they both ended up engaging in a light hearted conversation.
All five boys have great professional attitude, esp the leader Yunho, he's not the type that comes, does the gig and leaves, he will make sure all details with the crew, anything related to DBSK, he will and wants to know. he often cares for others, see how they're doing, perhaps that's why being the leader gets so exhausting sometimes. But he's really smart and very detail oriented, not to mention he pays attention to others, even when a crew member hurted his hands during a photoshoot, Yunho saw it and asked him if he was alright and if he needed help. Everyone truly likes Yunho. He knows the importance of his place yet he's very modest.
He's very caring toward the members, professionally, he does everything in his powers to make sure others work smoothly, so that's a load off of the manager's shoulder. Once half way through a schedule, he asked a crew member to bring a pair of shoes, I first thought Yunho just want to wear another pair of shoes, but turns out the shoes were for junsu, because Junsu had mentioned his shoes were too slippery and they had to dance later in the schedule. Yunho immiedtely thought of taking care of the problem for Junsu.
Yunho plays it tough in front of others, but there are times it's hard for him to hold back his emotions, behind the glam, he's a very sensitive, passionate guy, not after they debuted, once I saw Yunho cry, it was in a small room, his back was facing the door so I didn't see his face, but I saw his shoulders shiver, the members were around him. Changmin gave him tissues and Jaejoong was holding his hand and comforting him. The entertainment circle is a cruel place where people learn to toughen up, the tough will get tougher and the weak will only grow weaker.
Yunho's a nice guy, but he absolutely will not allow it when people attack jaeJoong, whether as a joke or not, once someone was talking about JJ in a way bad, Yunho stared the person down for about 30 seconds.. that sent shivers down my spine
Fun fact: Yunho does most of the socializing in DBSK, so he often had to drink.. his limits is 4 bottles of soju~~
Yunho does not have a girlfriend at the moment, because the company simply does not allow it, there are quite a few girls in the field that likes him, but that would kill DBSK's career and SM will never let Yunho gets away with it.
The five are extremely close, they're always playing together, once Yunho asked JJ to do something, JJ jokly said " if you dare to go kiss _____, i will do it right away.." . that person was a girl. then there was a time where everyone though Yunho liked her, Yunho laughed and said " what the heck are you smoking" then he hugged JJ .. the ending? all five hugging together on the floor sleep.gif
JJ likes to talk a lot, esp with people he knows well, no matter what he's taking about, he likes to describe it to the fullest, once telling a joke, he used 22 adjectives to describe a ballpen. haha. so sometimes he drags his stories, often in the progress of describing things, he totally forgets what he was going to talk about.. yet he's still loves it! at times like this, changmin would try to get to the point for JJ, and JJ won't let him. Even on shows, unless it was scripted prior to the show, JJ will often gets lost in his own chatter and completely forgets the fact that he's even on a show... makes the MCs so dizzy! but no one hates him for it, he has a good heart, friendly and easy to get along with. even to strangers. but he has his guard up when it's necessary and he knows how to protect himself. He'll chat your ears off, but never things he knows he shouldn't say. he has a habit of cooking.. then eating while cooking, so by the time he's done.. there's not much left.. JJ's smile is elegant and soft, yet the minute he opens his mouth he's a complete jokster, I don't think he smokes too much or too often. not sure about his alcohol tolerance, he seems that he likes to drink. once he was drinking for 4 hrs and came out looking totally fine. Yunho on the other hand, gets really red after drinking.. so does Yoochun.
JJ's really close to Yunho, often helps Yunho with any problems he has, sometimes Yunho feels bad lecturing the members, so JJ does it for him. JJ's the type that base everything on first impression, if he likes you first, then he'll like you forever, otherwise, he never will for as long as he livse. Not like Yunho, who likes everyone.. that's why I said before JJ's personality isn't suitable for a leader.
Yoochun's a true gentleman, he always opens doors for female crew members, let the girls go first when riding the elevator, through little gestures you can tell he's very much of a gentleman, sometimes he acts goofy around team members, but I think that's because he lacks confidence sometimes, he has lots of stupid silly requests, to get attention from team members, he needs to know that others loves him to feel secure.. ,maybe because he barely has any family in Korea, so he feels a little lonely and insecure. he's the quitest one out of the five, sometimes he's deep into his thoughts for hours, and he tend to let his emotions effect his work, that's why the manager's particuarlly worried about him in case they go solo one day.。
Junsu's personality is more edgy.. when he's cold he's very cold, when he's mad he's really mad, when he's playing around he play hits you hard, even though he was serious, but it still hurts! but he never hits yoochun because yoochun's really sensitive, once back in training days, he play hits yoochun, and yoochun cried.. so ever again after that. Junsu went through a lot of tough times during training days, despite the fact that he was one of the best trainees. once his voice went away, a lot of people who were jealous were all stumping on him. that was his darkest time.
Junsu's very strong and independent even though he acts cute in front of the camera, but off the camera he's much more mature than he appears to be on camera, it's said that if SM has plan for them to go solo, Junsu would make the first solo debut. Junsu holds himself and others to very high standards when it comes to music, he doesn't allow himself to make any mistake.. a perfecionist. Eun Hyuk of SUJU is Junsu's best, he will kick others butt for Junsu. once during trainnee days, someone was making fun of Junsu, Eun Hyuk came in and slapped him.
Changmin's the youngest, but he doesn't let the members spoil him, he's more low key.. even a shy changmin still gets into fights.. you wouldn't think. right? he's a good person to admire, because he's mature and he's deep, if he's not a singer, he is really capable of doing politics, he's young but he knows sometimes you just gotta hold your anger, fight for what you want. sometimes he's too mature almost, he thinks a lot.
Changmin's the one that the manager nags the least, whether it's school, work personality he takes himself the best, he phones home the most, but keeps it short, even though he's the youngest but he really takes care of other members."

TVXQ's JaeJoong beats Jerry Yan in Becoming the World's Most Gorgeous MaleKorean top idol group [TVXQ]'s member Hero JaeJoong was highly voted as the 'Most Gorgeous Male On Earth' by China's net-pal with his smooth skin and gorgeous looks, beating Jerry Yan from [Meteor Garden]. Another member of the group, U-Know YunHo came in third for the votings. It's no wonder [TVXQ] is being called the most good looking male group.
"The Most Gorgeous Male" voting campaign was being held in order to commemorate the lauching of [Meteor Garden 2] in China. The voting campaign started off on the 9th of July and lasted for a month. Earlier, the broadcasting station [Star World] in China had selected 80 gorgeous male artists recognised by the whole world to participate in the voting campaign, and JaeJoong had won 4180 thousand votes from the people in China as being the most gorgeous looking male.
There are some net-pal saying that, JaeJoong is the prettiest male on earth. There's also net-pal from Vietnam saying that JaeJoong is also recognised as the no.1 most gorgeous mal in Vietnam. As for the Thai fans,"I've also voted my sacred vote for JaeJoong, Young Woong JaeJoong who is a male prettier than a female HWAITING!" (*NOTE:The fan didn't actually said hwaiting but I have no idea how I should translate that 'hwaiting' phrase in English -.-" *)
TVXQ will be holding a conert in Taipei's ZhongSan Soccer Stadium on the 5th and 6th of October. The boys will also be arriving in Taiwan tomorrow to help promote their ticket. On the 23rd, they will be having a press conference in YuanDong Hotel. They are estimated to be having a "stamping" meeting (?) (*NOTE:no idea how I should translate it,but I think it's when the boys stamp their signature rather then signing them*) around 6pm at Taipei's International Convention Center's Conference Hall, there are sure to be interesting performances by the boys then.

Report on Asia Song Festival 2007Source: The Newpaper, Singapore
Journalist: Chang May Choon
Date of publication: 26th Sept 2007
Typed by: deppstar@Soompi
One is Korea's sexiest songbird, the other is Taiwan's sizzling pop queen.
So
when Korea's Lee Hyo Lee and Taiwan's A-mei shared the same stage at
the fourth Asia Song Festival at the Seoul World CUp Stadium last
Saturday, it seemed almost inevitable that the battle of the divas
would unfold. Even at the press conference held on Friday, A-mei, 35,
was already asked if she was worried about performing alongside Hyo Lee
28. Her cool reply: "Actually with every performance, I won't think too
much or worry about being compared with anybody. Every artiste is
different, be it in her performance or feel. I'm just happy to be here,
and I've prepared both fast songs and slow numbers to introduce myself
to the Korean audience."
And deliver she did, with aplomb. Clad
in a cleavage-baring black top and matching mini-skirt with a bright
pink jacket, the livewire was bursting with energy. It was her first
public showcase in Korea, and she seemed to be on a high. While singing
her new ballad You Love Me, her soaring vocals won the most saving
lights (the battery-operated kind with multi colours) from the 40,000
strong crowd of mostly Korean teenage girls. Never mind if they did
understand a word of her Mandarin lyrics. Her infectious music moved
them anyway.
Alluring
Hyo Lee's opening
act, however, received a much stronger reception -as one would expect.
Fans chanted her name as she performed three dance singles while
shaking her bon-bon alluringly.
Her rhythm was immaculate,
although she was a tad too stingy with flaunting her famous "S-line"
figure. She showed just a bit of her slender thighs, while she hid
behind a loose-fitting long sleeve stripped top, black mini-skirt and
thigh-high red boots. No doubt trendy, but rather conservative for
someone who is always voted Korea's sexiest female singer. Still,
Singaporean operations manager Ester Tan. 32, found Hyo Lee's
performance, when compared to A-mei's more "appealing and fresh".
"She
really knows how to move her body, her dancing is more trendy and her
dressing is more hip" said Ms Tan, who was on holiday in Seoul and got
a concert ticket from a friend. "A-mei's style is more old-school,
probably because she's older. But she's the stronger vocalist."
But
when it comes to commanding the audience, the two divas were clearly no
fight for the Korean boybands TVXQ and Super Junior, and R&B male
trio SG Wannabe.
Even
Hyo Lee admitted defeat on stage, with a laugh: "There are many TVXQ
fans here tonight, right?" To which the crowd screamed back to the top
of their voices.
Most of
them are indeed diehard fans, and proud to show it by wearing their
idol's official red colour and waving matching light sticks. Cheering
in unison, they made up more than half of the crowd. Most amazingly, they even managed to pull off a green against red light formation that read "TVXQ FLY!"
Loud Screams
Naturally,
the loudest screams were reserved for TVXQ. Clad in all white, the five
members, whose average age is 20, took to the stage and delivered three
songs in perfect harmony. Complete with sleek synchronised dance moves
worthy of their raging popularity, no less.
Not forgetting the overseas fans present, they went on to greet fans in three languages - Japanese, Mandarin and English. Overall, theirs was a spirited performance which was a fitting end to the 4.5 hour-long Asia Song Festival.
The Super Junior fans, all decked out in blue, were just as organised, but smaller in number.
Japan's
representative this year was R&B singer-songwriter Mai Kuraki,
whose power vocals belie her incredibly petite frame. "She's such a
doll!" someone exclaimed. But Mai, 25, was friendly enough. She had a
smile for everyone, despite a rather daunting entourage. With at least
12 black-clad staff members following her every move, she was arguably
the most well-protected artiste of the evening.
Other
performers included China's impish Vicki Zhao Wei and Hong Kong
sweetie-pie Gigi Leung. Among South-East Asian musicians were
Indonesian rock band Peterpan, Thai male duo Gold & Mike,
Vietnamese balladeer Lam Truong and Filipino folk-rocker Barbie
Almalbis. Taiwanese quartet F4, which is Taiwan's tourism ambassador in
Korea, was the guest star of the evening and helped to introduce the
Chinese artistes. Only one member - Vanness Wu - performed, but, as a
group, the guys certainly generated plenty of buzz.
Their
Korean fan club prepared a huge black banner that read F4 Yong Yuan Bu
Mie (Mandarin for "never dies") and cheers resounded around the stadium
for them. Who knows, they might be able to give TVXQ a run for its
money in the time to come?
The free concert is organised
annually by the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange,
with support from the Ministry of Culture And Tourism and Seoul City
government. It aims to promoted cultural exchange between Korea and
other Asian countries.

The
4th Asia Song Festival, held on the 22nd, is suffering from its serious
aftermath. The objective of the event to collaborate Asia's culture
through music is lost.
The problem started with the ignorance
toward international singers. For this concert, total of 13 artists
from 9 different Asian countries came to Korea. Japan's Kuraki Mai,
China's Zoe mi, Phillippine's Barbie Almalbis and Thailand's Golf &
Mike are all extremely popular stars in their home country.
In
Korea, however, they had to be treated as nobody because majority of
the teenagers that occupied most seats did not know who they were. They
were girls who have come to cheer for artists like DBSK and FT Island.
"It
was so annoying to listen to the songs of singers that I didnt know.
But I waited patiently to see DBSK perform," "Do you think I'll cheer
for singers that I've never heard of in my life for 4 hours? If it
wasn't for DBSK, I'd never have gone to this boring event."...
DBSK
might be the reason to attend this event for 4 years in a row. It also
was the reason for DBSK to perform last. During FT Island's
performance, a portion of fans left the stadium.
But we can't
blame it all on the fans. The representatives that did not properly
explain the meaning of the event is also at fault. It is necessary to
think carefully about what teens demand of Korea's music market.
Dispute
among few fan clubs is further polluting the meaning of the event. DBSK
fans are in rage claiming that FT Island fans have ripped apart their
support banners. Due to this, there was a commotion at the event. DBSK
fans are planning to carry out a lawsuit against FT Island fans if FT
Island fans do not apologize.
Asia Song Festival is a rare chance to directly listen to foreign music
in Korea. There are many active supporters for this event.
However,
the concert that is populated with teenage fans is no different from
music shows aired on television. If the foreign top stars continue to
be mere ornaments, there is no future for Asian music exchange.
There is a suggestion to limit the ticket sales to certain audience members for next year's 5th festival.
The pictures above were sent by Cassiopeia to Primadonna as "evidence of the crime".

More information aboutThe Aftermath of the Asia Song Festivalcredits to: luvlybabycherub @ YouTube + diana© @ soompi (for summarizing)
Primadonna did not only target Cassiopeia; they did some things to SuJu's E.L.F., too. They reportedly destroyed (2) of DBSK's banners and (1) of Super Junior's.One DBSK banner from bestiz reportedly costs about $2000 (some even say that it was $6000). The reason why it was expensive is because the letters were illuminated and glow-in-the-dark.The "기" of the banner was ruined (it was peeling off). The F.T Island fans sat near the banner, wearing their yellow shirts and waving their flags. There's a picture of a girl in yellow stretching her arm out to the banner (see my previous post). It was said that they spilled their drinks on the banners and did quite an amount of damage. The 2nd DBSK banner that was destroyed was Changmin's. It was kind of small, but it got ripped into pieces and some people even wrote graffiti on it.The other parts of the banner were okay, but the part where his name used to be got destroyed. The SuJu banner that got destroyed was Kyuhyun's. (I feel pissed T_T He just got better, and now this
) His banner was lowered from its original position and the people sitting above these banners were Primadonna members.
RumourIt was said that they tried to remove it and take it away. The balloons: Some of DBSK's pearl red balloons and SuJu's pearl blue balloons were found popped and destroyed.F.T Island fans left the festival as soon as the boys performed + while it was SuJu's turn. Cassiopeia & E.L.F. There is supposedly a "joint force" between Cassiopeia and E.L.F. that is trying to get apologies and payment from Primadonna.
QUOTEits not just about the money but its about the # of fans who put so much effort and time for those banners and stuff..
Cassiopeia and E.L.F. used to fight, too, but Cassiopeia saved 200 seats for E.L.F. that were almost taken by Primadonna since they were the ones who were admitted in first.Primadonna "mocked" Cassiopeia and E.L.F. who were waiting outside in the rain.There's more, but luvlybabycherub ends it there ^^;

Taiwan Concert UpdateSome news from Taiwan..
South Korea band DBSK held their first concert in Taiwan yesterday due to the typhoon, it challenged dbsk their ability to dance and sing under strong winds and continuous rain.
DBSK knew they had to perform in the rain, they made their way to the stadium for rehearsals at 10.30 am, and during the actual concert, there are incidents of members slipping and even hats getting blown away. However, this didn’t dampen the fans spirit, and got their screaming even louder. Before the concert ended, Taipei was announced to stop all activities including school and work, due to safety reasons, the second concert will be cancelled.
The concert tour started in Korea in February this year, the first stop overseas is Taiwan. The theme for the concert is anti-war, the stage is set such that dbsk will come down hanging from a height of 17 m, and together with the effects, the will enact the scene of “hero saving the beauty” (sorry this is translated so literally, because I cant think of any phrase to translate this Chinese phrase but well, you get the meaning.) The audiences were in awe and as the producers were afraid of any accidents happening due to the typhoon, they were insured a total of 90 million NT.
When the concert started, the rain and wind was not strong, after a few songs and dance, the members greeted the fans in Chinese, but it started pouring again after that. When micky was performing his solo item, his hat was blown away as a strong gust of wind came along, and fans below the stage were trying to make a grab for it.
After “You only love, the rain started to get heavier but the fans got even more enthusiastic. When singing “O” 30 dancers clad in army costume came out with large flags for the dance. But due to the strong winds, the flags either couldn’t be opened or almost got blown away. The members slipped a few times, Yunho and Jaejoong made good use of the situation and started sliding around on stage.
During "balloons" DBSK emerged with their cute little cars, but yunho and micky's car stalled, and they looked at each other helplessly with a cute look. The members ran around the whole stage, changing into a total of 14 costumes and sang 24 songs, some fans were even so excited that they had to be send to the first aid tent after fainting due to lack of oxygen.

DBSK ROCKS HOLLYWOOD BOWL 2008If you have heard or read people’s accounts at last night's Korean Music Festival ~ Hollywood Bowl 2008 (May 19), you’d surely feel how excited and thrilled the fans really were and you'd wished you could have been there as well.
The 6th Annual Korean Music Festival started off early in the evening, with daylight still very much evident in the sky; TVXQ’s Xiah Junsu sang the Korean national anthem. Though everyone was suppose to pay their respects to the Korean flag, many fans were screaming already. Undoubtedly everyone was so energized that the show has started, and obviously too thrilled that Xiah Junsu sang at the early part of the event. People could probably call that a “treat” already.
TVXQ fans carry with them red glow sticks, which were used for the (American) “Red Sea Project.” As well as those who came to support TVXQ, wearing red T-shirts and red balloons. Essentially the majority of the fans came well prepared, with specified glow sticks, balloons, banners, and T-shirts that show their support for their favorite artists.
Brian of Fly to the Sky who was hosting the event; the moment he was introducing TVXQ, one can’t even hear him finish the group’s name as his introduction was met by deafening screams of fans. The energy and all the fan noise were so intense that it was even hard to hear the music, much more the artists.
TVXQ started off with their powerful song, “Rising Sun,” which got the crowd crazy. Though it was (reportedly) lip synced (Rising Sun), the crowd absolutely loved it. TVXQ then introduced themselves and talked for a bit. They pumped up the crowd as Yunho urged them to scream “DONG-BANG-SHIN-KI” repeatedly. TVXQ then continued on with their sexy R&B song, “Tonight,” which they sang completely live. Fans couldn’t get enough, and continued on with their earsplitting screams as TVXQ started their third (3rd) song, their hit single “Purple Line,” which was in its Korean version. By then, the entire Hollywood Bowl was in total chaos. And then, along with other artists, TVXQ sang “Balloons” and finally, “Lets go On a Trip” with Fly to the Sky, SNSD, Super Junior, Chae Yeon, Lee Minwoo, SG Wannabe, and others. It was delightful seeing them all together.
As always TVXQ looked dashing on stage. They wore slick black outfits. Looking confident and forceful or should we say all-powerful. Its impressive how they have really earned the meaning of their name, which they have proved to be – “The ‘Gods’ of the East!”

Junsu: Go traveling
Yunho: Visit my hometown

All: ......... (silence)
Yoochun: Are you referring to women??
All: HAHAHA!
Junsu: No! I mean...to love...to be in love.
Yunho: That's a good one!
Yoochun: Then, my answer is...THSK members
- Including Junsu?
Yoochun: (rolls eyes) Em...do I have a choice? (laughs)
Jaejoong: Earth/planet
10. What do you typically buy at the convenience store?
Changmin: Something that's beneficial to my health
Yunho: Milk

Yunho: I'll also be with my family...hugging them
Changmin: Mountain climbing
Junsu: Ah, I want to learn a new language...one cannot stop continuously learning new things...
(everyone totally ignoring Junsu)
12. What would you do if you found 100 million yen when nobody is around?
Changmin: Keep it
Junsu: Donate it
All: (giving Junsu a look)
Junsu: REALLY! I'm telling the truth!
Yoochun: I want to dump all the money down from the top of Tokyo Tower
Junsu: Then you'll definitely make the news headlines!
Jaejoong: I want to rent an amusement park and spend time there with my fans
All: WAAAAH! Wanna show-off, huh?
Jaejoong: I'm serious, I'm serious!
Yunho: I want to rent a train and take a ride on it by myself
13. What habit can't you break/get rid of/change?
Yunho: Being onstage
Junsu: Learning new things
All: (silence again)
Junsu: Look, like what I said before...one cannot stop continuously learning new things!
Yoochun: AH HAHAHA! Junsu is really weird!
Jaejoong: For me, whenever I see our fans, my heart beats really fast
All: WAAAAH! Look, there he goes again! He answered it in that way to appease his fans. It's really despicable!
Jaejoong: I'm telling the truth!
- Changmin?
Changmin: Exercise

Compared to a year and a half ago, there were many changes. I don't

hahaha...no, I'm serious. I want to have a more scary dream...and that
is to double my efforts and hard work.
Changmin: Comparing
myself now to the one in the past, because there were a lot of

revisit my past self.
Yunho: I feel very fortunate that many
good changes, even better than what I could have ever imagined,
happened. I want to show everyone a more matured Yunho.
Yoochun:
Compared to last year, I feel I am more familiar and comfortable with
Japan right now to give the answers I gave. It was pretty amazing to
use this method of comparing our present selves to our past selves.
Also, it was fun seeing Junsu this way.
Junsu: As human
beings... (Changmin and Jaejoong burst out laughing) Uh, I'm talking
right now... okay, I'll say it properly! Do you know? ...the difference
between human beings vs. creatures is that us humans can experience the
joy of learning...
All: (laughs out loud)
Junsu: So, I
want to learn forever until the day I die. If I don't continue learning
new things, then I can't be considered as a human being!
All: .............. (at this point, no one could speak a word because they were all laughing so hard)
