While dining at the cafeteria, Rui Xi broke the news that she will be going back to America. AS Quan heard it, he immediately grabbed Rui Xi's hand, and said," Rui Xi, please don't go.Just stay by my side. I...I...I love you." Soon after Quan's remarks, silence fence the area. Everyone present was surprised by Quan's words. "How would you expect a boy would say something like that to a boy?," Shen murmurs. "Maybe, there's an evil spirit lurking around the place," Da Shu exclaimed. Mei Tian, their school doctor who was at the end of the cafeteria witnessed the whole thing, "Oh, my! The day has finally arrived." Rui Xi noticed that people are making rumors about them. In anger, she quickly stood up, and shouted,"Listen, everyone! I have something to tell you, right from the moment I arrived here. And, I guess, this is the right time for me to disclose my true identity. Yes, I am a girl. I pretended to be a male student just to be with Quan. At first, I find it difficult adjusting with the new me. But, with you guys, I learned it easily to be a guy. Thank you so much, my friends." Xiu Yi broke the silence. "Wooohoo! I am not a gay! I am a full-blooded man!!," Xiu Yi shouted with gladness. He kept on dancing and jumping around the place. He then approached Rui Xi, "So, Rui Xi, now that you're a girl, will you marry me? I love you b-aaaabe! Mwah! Oh, wait. Wait a sec. You like Quan right? His the one who is in your heart, right? Ugggh...[heartbreak act]."
Bed time came. Still, everyone was talking about having a girl in an all-boys school. Back in Rui Xi and Quan's room, things were different there. "Rui Xi...what I said a while ago is the truth. I also have a confession to make. Remember the time when you got hit by a ball, while you and Xiu Yi were playing soccer? I was the one who helped Xiu Yi in carrying you to the clinic. Right at that moment, I realized that you are a girl. Sorry." Rui Xi then looked at Quan and said, "Quan, it's not your fault. So, you don't have to say sorry." Quan then looked at Rui Xi, as if he likes to kiss her, without knowing that sudden words came out from his mouth, "Will you kiss me for the last time? " Rui Xi was speachless with Quan's words. Without hesitating, she then kissed Quan.
It was the day of the departure. Everyone was sad that Rui Xi will be leaving. At the airport, she began to do some thinking of her own. Then she realized it. All her tears and happiness were all because of Quan. She knew right then she couldn't leave.
"Flight 137 is prepared for take-off."
Quan watched the plane for Flight 137 take off. He walked away form the fence when the plane was no longer seen. Tears fell down his cheeks as he started to head back to their school. "It's over." Quan walked away and sat in a nearby park. He leaned against his seat and sighed. "If we were meant to be together, then Rui Xi will show up right now."
"Quan!"
Quan sat up instantly. He recognized that voice. "Rui Xi? Can't be!" He looked up and saw her running towards him. He was so happy he couldn't speak. He stood up right away, and ran towards her. She ended up in his arms. He spun her around. He gently placed her down and said, "I don't get it! Your plane already left . I mean how?"
Rui Xi smiled. "I got off the plane before it took off. I then realized that I can't live without you." Quan looked at her shyly. "But I thought.." Rui Xi gazed into the face of the person she knew she wanted to see every day. She leaned over to kiss him. Then she whispered, " Qian, I want to stay with you forever."
And they lived happily ever after.
